Adding CWCCs to Courses and Assignments

Updated on

Adding Competencies to a Course

Navigate to the course to which you want to add competencies. In the Course Menu select More and choose Competencies.

On the screen that appears, click the Add competencies to course button.

When the Competency Picker comes up, choose the CWCCs relevant to your course.  Note that the CWCCs you pick should be the more specific versions with decimal points in the name (e.g., 1.2, 3.1):

  1. Click the arrows to expand each section so the more specific competencies are visible
  2. Choose a competency by clicking on it
  3. Choose multiple competencies by holding down the Control key (on a PC) or the Command key (on a Mac)
  4. Click the Add button at the bottom of the Competency Picker when finished.  You might need to scroll down to see it.

Attach Competencies to an Assignment

When setting up an assignment, look for the Competencies section on the settings screen.  For the Course competencies setting, use the drop-down menu to select the relevant competencies.  This menu will be populated by the CWCCs that you attached to your course.

Once competencies are selected, set the Upon activity completion setting to "Attach evidence."

Scroll down and click the Save and return to course button.
