Creating Microsoft Share Links for "Anyone with the link"

Use these steps to create a share link in OneDrive that allows students to view content store on OneDrive without needing to request access.

Set Up Sharing for the File

  1. In the upper right corner of the file, click Share and select Share again.
  2. Click the gear icon to open link settings.

Set the following options:

  1. The link works for: Anyone
    (if you prefer limiting to Manhattan University users, you can select People in manhattan.edu)
  2. More settings: Can view
  3. Then, click Apply to save the settings.

These settings ensure that students can view the video without needing to log in separately or request access.

Click Copy link.  The link is now copied to your clipboard and can be shared in an email or posted to Moodle.

In the upper right corner of the file, click Share and then Manage access.

  1. Select the Links tab
  2. Locate the tab labeled Anyone with the link can view and click Copy.
