This tutorial walks you through how to generate, review, and edit captions for a video stored in OneDrive. Adding captions improves accessibility and ensures your video content is usable for a wider audience.
Access Video Settings
Once your video has been uploaded to OneDrive, open the video. On the right side of the screen, locate Video settings and click it.
Select Transcript and captions
In the Video settings panel, click Transcript and captions.
Generate Transcript
Click Generate. Then select the appropriate language for the captions and click Generate.
Wait for Processing
Caption generation may take some time depending on the length and size of the video. Shorter videos may take only a few minutes, while larger videos might take 30 minutes or more. Once processing is complete, return to Transcript and captions to view the captions.
View and Edit Transcript
After captions have been generated, you can review and edit them directly within the Transcript and captions panel. Hover over a text segment to display the Edit icon. Click Edit, then update the text within that segment. Then click Done to save your updates to that segment.
View Captions
When viewing a video, captions can be toggled on or off by clicking the CC icon at the bottom of the video player.
